Destination: Yala National Park - Sri Lanka

Journey begins at 5:30am from the Hotel, while stars sparkle in their final hour of glory before the dawn breaks and twittering birds welcome a brand new day, you head towards the park entrance.
Yala National park is home to 44 species of Mammals including the Majestic Sri Lankan Elephant. An estimated population of around 350 elephants roam free in this naturally developed safari park.
The once elusive Leopard roaming the Yala jungle is now the highest density found anywhere in the world hence early entrance paves the way to catch a glimpse of the leopard lurking at any waterhole and if you are lucky he may still be with his prey that was caught the night before.
Many animals wake to the beauty of the rising sun and come to quench their thirst to the waterholes. This makes it the ideal time to experience an real safari.

MORNING SAFARI 5:30 AM to 10:00 AM
AFTERNOON 2.00 PM to 7.00 PM
FULL DAY SAFARI 5:00 AM to 6.00 PM

The passionate bird watcher will be amazed at the variety of birds taking flight. Yala is one of the 70 nominated Important Bird Areas of Sri Lanka with 215 bird species both migrant and endemic to Sri Lanka. Sri Lankan Grey Hornbill, Sri Lankan Jungle-fowl, Sri Lankan Wood Pigeon, Crimson-fronted Barbet, Black-capped Bulbul, and Brown-capped Babbler to name a few birds endemic to Sri Lanka.
The Safari jeep will take you through the many trails inside the park to see as many animals as possible, it is to note that not all the animals are sighted in one Safari but one could always return for another Safari satisfy their appetite for adventure.

Yala Safari takes an approximate duration of 4 - 5 hours.

Breakfast: Breakfast can be arranged to be made into a takeaway packet through the hotel you are accommodated at when informed the evening prior to your scheduled safari.

Maximum capacity of one Safari Jeep: 4 - 6 passengers

Entrance Tickets to the Yala National Park to be purchased separately at the gate.

All visitors to Yala National Park are expected to strictly follow the guidelines provided and ensure they behave appropriately according to the environment as instructed.
